PSTN/Intercluster Forced Authorization Code (FAC)

Hi All,

 

We are in a change where we are migrating users spread among clusters.

That means an single physical SITE can be divided on 1 or more logical clusters.

 

The problem is that SITE's have a Paging System that is usually reached by everyone (CoS SITE-Especific-PT) and restricted by FAC.

 

In this case we can use CUBE/SBC to make the pattern dial-able by any cluster,

but what about the FAC?

 

This would be an intercluster-FAC question. Is that possible?

 

Call flow

Site A -->(SIP Trunk) --> CUBE --> (SIP Trunk) --> SITE B --> (SIP/FAC/Trunk) --> Paging VG310 port

 

All the Trunks SIP

Local Phones can use FAC no issue,

but what about Phones in other sites?

 

Also, if this is not supported, is there something else we can do?

This is currently a restriction on the CUCM. No method exists to play the FAC or CMC tone over a trunk, calls that originate from a SIP trunk, H323, or MGCP gateway fail if they encounter a route pattern that requires FAC or CMC.
