Hi
We are implementing QoS for IP Telephony infrastructure. The IP Phones mark the packets for signalling and RTP. This would be for the traffic originating at the phone towards the voice gateway.
What and how should the marking happen for a call from PSTN towards the Ip phone? Is there separate marking to be done on the voice gateway or the switches.
Thanks.

In your gateway design, are you using MGCP or H.323?
If you are using MGCP you can set the QoS Marking on the gateway configuration page in Communication (call) Manager.
If you are using H.323 you can set the QoS on the "voip" or destination leg dial-peer.
For Example:
dial-peer voice 1200 voip
destination-pattern [1-2]...
ip qos dscp cs3 signaling
ip qos dscp ef media
session target ipv4 xx.xx.xx.xx

we are using H323 on the gateway.
Thank you for the input.
