"Out of Bandwidth" on IP Phones

We have a number of sites reporting phones giving them a reorder tone with the "out of Bandwidth" message at the bottom of the phone. At first, we only noticed it at locations that had T1s with QOS enabled, but now we are seeing it at Gigabit connected locations. Anyone have an idea what this could be?

Mike,

Out of Bandwidth message is going to appear when at least one side of a call from IP Phone or Gateway endpoints location amount is exceeded. Verify the two endpoints involved in the call and check if either has a Location value. If so, and they are at a site connected high speed not requiring CAC, remove the location or set it to a Location with Unlimited.

Also note that CFB, MOH and other services have the option for Locations values in their configuration too. So what seems like a standard call might be invoking additional resources that are CAC restricted.

Thanks

BTW: Loction bandwidth and actualy bandwidth has nothing to do with each other. Your T1 might have enough bandwidth but if your location is not configured properly and limited number of call then CallManager will deny the call and give you "out of bandwidth" messages.

You are right. We did have a problem with Location and Region config. We mis-understood that multiple locations would be pulling from a location with limited BW and not individual.
