"Passthrough" PRI on a 2951 Voice servives router with Dual WIC.

We have a Avaya Office 500 system with a PRI circuit. We would like to test implement a Cisco solution.

Is it possible to deploy a 2951 Voice services router with a dual T1/E1 WIC, to "passthrough" the PRI from the service provider to the Avaya Ofice 500 ?

This will allow us to slowly implement the transition from Avaya to Cisco, while also allowing us to see if the bandwidth from the remote site (Guam) will be enough to Register the phones through the WAN to our CUCM (Phoenix).

Configure the Avaya-facing interface as the network side (ie emulate the CO switch). This was a common approach as we replaced legacy PBX platforms “back in the day” since it allows you to peel off TNs and route them to the newer platform as you’re ready to migrate the accompanying users/phones.
