Dear all,
after upgrading an CUCM version 4.3 to version 8.5 at our customer site, suddenly we experienced randomly rebooting 7961 and 7941 ip phones.
Nothing had changed on the network side except the upgrade of CUCM and of course the ip phone firmware.
The reboots even take place while having an active call. Sometimes it occures three times a day. The debug message int the phone say's initialized and nothing like TCP timeout or what ever.
Attached are the phone log files, and in the log files of the phones there are a lot of XML errors that we can't place. After receiving that many XML errors it seems that the phone reboots??
Does somebody have an clue what can cause the problem, because as mentioned before, it all workes fine until after the upgrade. We also put the newest firmware in the phone but we still had the reboot problems, so we swapped backed to an older release but still no luck.
Any advise our clue's what can cause this problem?
Many thanks in advance.
Grtz,
Erik.

I'm experiencing a very similar issue currently (CUCM 9.1 & 9.3phone firmware).
Did you get it resolved? Can you share your resolution and outcome please?
Thank you.

We had an TAC case on this one, but it did never get realy solved. TAC did see that the CUCM did mis skinny keep alives, causing the phones to reboot. After two weeks there was still no reason found for this problem.
We swapped back the orginal old firmware in the IP phones, which were originally loaded when using the CUCM version 4.3
We swapped back to the 8-4-3 firmware version and the phones didn't reboot anymore.
