I have an office that has 2 7945 phones in it. Both are assigned to the same line. Today both phones have the line lit up red and a message "On a call" with an icon with 2 handsets. He can make calls, but the light will not go off. Any idea how to clear it?

Light indicates you have a voicemail message, either listen to voicemail message and marked as read to put the light off or if you are aware of the MWI on/off DN then use it to put the lit off.

This would be the button that shows the line in use, not the MWI light on the handset. The light turns green when on a call. His is red and is the display show "on a call"

That's because it's a shared line, that's the expected behavior because someone is using the same line, on other phone, of course you can still make calls from another endpoint, that's also expected.

Well, it is a shared line but only in the same office for the same person. The line was not in use and you could still make calls on it. This line is in the CEO's office. He has one at his meeting desk, and one at his work desk which are in the same room.
I rebooted both my CUCM and CUPS servers last night, and all in normal today.
Thanks anyway.
