Hi everybody.

Let say we have a single site and we want to provide CM redundancy.

ipphones------sw-----(   CM Pulisher, CM sub1)

1)Let say we have configured the device pools for our ipphone where CM sub1 is the most preferred,. Can we configure CM publisher as a backup in case CMsub1 goes down ?

ipphones-----sw--( CM publisher, CM sub1, CM sub2)

2)Suppose we configure device pool for our ip phones where we have configured CMsub1 as the most preferred CM. Can we configure CM sub2 as a backup  for our ip phones in case CM sub1 goes down ?

thanks and have a great day

Answers is yes to both, you can configure up to three servers per CUCM group and choose the order in which phones should register to them
