What is the correct procedure for registering an 7811 IP Phone with 11.5.2 firmware on the CUCM with Expressway to use the RMA.
Currently I can already register the Jabber using the Expressway without the necessity of VPN and work perfectly.
CUCM
System version: 11.5.1.10000-6
Expressway-C and Expressway-E
X8.11
Firmware IP Phone: sip78xx.11-5-1-18

You mean MRA, not RMA.
MRA configuration guide has all the steps, most important config is that the certificate from EXP-E HAS to be signed by one of the public CAs the phones have already installed in their root CA trust, any other CA would prevent phones from registering as they would not trust EXP-E

No, you should be able to give it a try, and if it doesn't work, start troubleshooting via the phone logs and the EXP-E/C logs.

Hi,
Hope it helps-
1-Connect the phone to the internet.
2-If phone already know its tftp server IP, it will ask for username and password and you can login..
2-Else, from application, navigate to admin setting > reset setting. Then reset "Service Node".
3-Phone will be rebooted and once it is up, it will ask for "service domain". Insert expressway-E domain.
4-Then it will ask for username and password. Enter valid end user credential and login.
5-Phone will take around 30 sec to connect to the system through MRA

When you have registered the phone make sure you make it persistent, otherwise each time the phone powers up you have to login again.
