Hi everyone,

We have a client with CUCM12.5-->VGW MGCP-->ITSP.

We configure a RDP-SNR on a phone 8851.

When someone calls the phone that activate RDP-SNR the phone ringing and also his cell phone, we would like to see on the cell phone the calling id of the phone that activate the RDP.

For example:

Extension -222 activate RDP-SNR to cell phone 05421212121

When extension 111 calls to extension 222 the calling ringing on the same time at the cell phone and the extension, and on the cell phone we would like to see the calling id of 222.

Right now we see the calling id of the real caller.

Thanks,

Hello,

the parameter in the MGCP settings won't count, since it's not a redirected call. It's a normal outbound call.

Why would you want to see the number of the RDP-line, instead of the original calling number? If you do that, how will you know, who calls you? And as written above, from CUCM perspective it's a normal outgoing call, so you have a calling number (in your case 111) and a called number (in your case the mobile number).

And since it's an external PSTN network, you probably never will see a redirect number, only the calling number.

What you describe is the default behavior for CUCM with the RDP feature, unless caller ID is overridden on the Gateway or by the service provider.

The first question I'd ask is what caller ID appears on the cell phone if DN 222 calls it directly?

I know this is an old topic but I ran into similar situation when designing a call flow for a customer where the requirement was that a call comes into a "DID number" and that number then Broadcast the call to 8 external people across the world (on their mobile phones). These users were not on Call Manager so a call forward from their CUCM DID was out of question. The way I solved it, I created a Hunt Pilot for that Inbound call (DID) and then created 8x dummy users and 8x CTIPORTS (with dummy DN). For each CTIPORT I created a Remote destination with a 0.1s delay. I added the CTIPORTS under HG. This worked perfectly fine and the calls to the Hunt Pilot was ringing the external mobile phones. However, customer came back with a peculiar request. They want these users to see that the call actually came from this HUNT PILOT DID and not the ANI of the Calling party! Exactly the situation which Original poster described. The way I solved this: On the Hunt Pilot, under Calling Party Transformation Mask, I added the same Hunt Pilot number. Now when the calls are coming into this DID (HP) and going out to all these 8 users, they all see the HP number and not the ANI of calling party. Maybe the solition for OP could be to route the calls via specific Route pattern where you change the calling party mask to the DID of the user.
