Hi,
I have a CCM Cluster version.6.1.2 and I have a problem with an VG248, using MGCP as signal control. This VG248 in moments is reboot
Cisco VG248 has software version: 1.3(1)
DSP firmware version : 3.6(25C)
I ckeck the voltaje, CPU, status port of the VG248 :
Environment
|--------------------------------------------------------------
| Internal temperature : +21.0 degC - okay
|
| 1.8 volts supply : 1.79 volts - okay
| 3.3 volts supply : 3.24 volts - okay
| 5.0 volts supply : 5.03 volts - okay
| 12.0 volts supply : 11.65 volts - okay
| 48.0 volts supply : 48.12 volts - okay
| 96.0 volts supply : 96.10 volts - okay
|
| Chassis fan state : okay
CPU utilization

On VG248 console there are warnings or errors presentn VG:

Registration Failed: Error DB Config typically indicates that the MAC address is incorrect in the gateway configuration.

I realize this post is old but I just wanted to add my $0.2.
I was having issues with SIP phones registering due to my TFTP service being down, after restarting the service and leaving it for a few days the requests were over 40,000 (this is with about 600 devices)
Turns out the VG248 had a few ports enabled but not configured in CUCM, so it was trying to auto register these ports at 15 TFTP requests a second, with the same Registration failed: Error: DB Config.
After disabling these ports my issues seem to have subsided.

Jose,
The VG-248 uses SCCP not MGCP. The registration error you are seeing is port 1 on the VG-248 most likely. I don't think it is a MAC address issue since it appears that your other ports are registered just fine and when you create the vg248 the MAC addresses for each station port is automatically generated from the first 10-digits of the MAC you provided when creating the gateway. If the MAC was wrong then none of your ports would register.
What I suspect is that port 1 is not configured in the CUCM. Connect to your CUCM server. Go to the configuration page for the vg248 in question. Is the first port marked with a "?" icon? If so, then you need to configure the port in CUCM. As an alternative, you can shut down the port on the VG-248 from the port configuration menu. One of these options should stop the SCCP messages in the log. Unless, of course, I am not understanding the problem.
You do say in your original post that: "This VG248 in moments is reboot". Does this mean that shortly after you captured the screen output that the vg248 system reloads? When it reloads and comes on line, do all of the ports register?
If so, how often does this occur? Have you enabled tracing levels on the VG-248? If you do, you may want to enable syslog as well because the log on the vg248 is wiped when it reloads.
Let's see what the answers are to these questions first and then move forward from there.
HTH.
Regards,
Bill

High 5 points to Bill as that's a good catch. It's been a while since I've worked with a VG248 so definitely valid points from Bill. Can you elaborate a bit on what is exactly going on with the gateway?
