I received a couple of these alerts last night for the publisher and one subscriber.

All servers in the cluster are IBM 7825-I3, running CUCM 7.1.3.

Is this something I should be worried about?

Processor load over 90 Percent. slp_srvreg#1 (48 percent) uses most of the CPU. Processor_Info: For processor instance 1: %CPU= 99, %User= 37, %System= 55, %Nice= 0, %Idle= 1, %IOWait= 6, %softirq= 0, %irq= 0. For processor instance _Total: %CPU= 94, %User= 35, %System= 48, %Nice= 0, %Idle= 6, %IOWait= 11, %softirq= 0, %irq= 0. For processor instance 0: %CPU= 88, %User= 33, %System= 40, %Nice= 0, %Idle= 12, %IOWait= 15, %softirq= 0, %irq= 0. The alert is generated on Fri Feb 18 00:02:03 MST 2011 on node 10.16.128.5.

It looks like you might be running into defect CSCte21646 "slp_srvreg process causes high cpu utilization".

You can view this here:

http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCte21646

Workaround:

From the command line interface, issue the  "utils snmp hardware-agents restart" command. This should resolve the  issue. If not, a server reboot may be necessary.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

Chris
