RTP path with SIP Trunk on UCM

I have a Call Manager cluster with a PUB and a SUB, And we just added a SIP trunk to the PSTN from the CallManager (not going though a CUBE ) and it looks like the UCM pub is acting as a proxy so all the RTP streams are going from the Phone to the PUB and then from the PUB to the SIP Trunk. Is that the correct behavior? IF so is it possible to change to the SUB to be the proxy? Currently on the UCM group in the Device pool for that SIP trunk the SUB is listed first. Is there somewhere else to change that?

Hi Ken,

This is because the PUB is listed as the MTP for the phones in the MRGL. What you can do is check the MRGL in the device pool, check those MRG's, and remove the PUB from the lists. Make sure that the SUB is still in there, and you should be good to go.
