SCCP or SIP

I must deploy VoIP solution ¨ call manager express¨, I´m thinking to use SCCP with ¨Configuration Professional¨ but I listened that this protocol will be in endofsupport.

SIP protocol is not supported by ¨Cisco Configurations Professional¨

someone can give me your recommendations because I prefere to use GUI Interface

The answer is pretty simple, it depends on the actual endpoint, there are endpoints that are ONLY either SCCP, or SIP, so, you don't even get to choose. Besides that, there is very good feature parity for endpoints between both protocols.

And I have no idea where you heard SCCP is going end of support.

If you want to get the most out of it, use CLI, some of the new endpoints are SIP only, so GUI is not going to work.

Hi,

Since GUI option is not yet supported for SIP phones through CCP you will have to configure the SIP phones through CLI.
