Setting Up a Cisco CP-8945 Phone

I configured a CP-8945 phone last month and when I plugged it back on the network, it states "Phone not registered."  It was working fine and now it won't connect to the network.  Any ideas?  Thank you.

Start by mentioning what call control you use and what troubleshooting you've done so far.

What does "call control" mean? I haven't done any troubleshooting yet.

Did you make sure that the phone got the correct IP address and TFTp address ? What call control platform are you using to register this phone ?

The phone currently has an IP address assigned to it.  I'm not sure about a TFTp address.  I'm not familiar with a "call control platform" to answer your question correctly.

I originally stated my issue incorrectly.  I didn't originally "configured" the phone.  It was a phone that was setup prior and I just went in the CUCM and changed the extension, phone number, user, etc.  The phone did changed to new user and was offline for a week until I plugged it back in a got the "phone not registered" message on the display.  Also, I just started working with VoiP phones for 6 months so I don't know what entails to set them up yet.

CUCM is your call control applications.

Make suer you have assigned DN on this  phone. TFTP address will be your CUCM  IP address, you can see this from phone settings.. I recommend  to involve someone  who is good in Voice to assist you.
