Should ESW&UCSS be bought for "installed" or for "used" licenses?

Hi all,

we have a new installation (not an upgrade) of CUCM 9.1. For example, we have 100 UCL Enchansed users and 100 CUWL Standard users. Last year we bought 100 ESW&UCSS for UCL Enchansed users and 100 ESW&UCSS for CUWL Standard users.

Now we would like to renew service contract, but the total amount of licenses in use has been reduced by a half. Now we use only 50 licenses of 100 available for both types of users.

Should we buy 100 ESW&UCSS for "installed"(available) licenses or 50 only for "used" licences?

Does the type of user matter?

Hi,

You need to buy UCSS and ESW for specific users like CUWL standard/enhanced.In your case, u are using only 50 for each user type.
