Hi guys,

can somebody explain what is meant by "on-hook" and "off-hook" in this output? This seems confusing, because I knew these On-hook and Off-hook states are for telephones.

The router is essentially a telephone on an FXO port. It's the customer-owned equipment attached to the analog loop from the carrier. On-hook is indicating the loop is idle or not in use. Off-hook indicates that the loop is electrically open by the router or something else attached to it.
