shutting down VMware with CUCM/CUC

how long does it take to do a complete shutdown of VMware server with CUCM/CUC installed ?

should it take longer than 15 mins ?

what is the correct procedure to shutdown the CUCM server ?

I am using the following

CUCM 8.5 7825

Unity Connection 8.x for 7825

VMware ESXi 4.0 Standard

server specs is

2xE5506 CPU,24GB RAM,4x1TB HDD

The best way to do it would be to first connect to CUCM and then CUC and issue "utils system shutdown" or do the same shutdown from the OS Administration web page.  Once they have shutdown or show it's now safe to power off you can then restart the VMware host.
