SIP phone registration directly on SRST Router

Is it possible to register a SIP phone directly on SRST without registering

it on the Call Manager?

Pls suggest any doc or url that explains the same.

SRST is only to be used as fallback when CUCM is down, if you're looking to use the router for call control at all times then you need CME and not SRST
