Hello all,
I was given the task to convert about 50 SIP phones from our branch location to SCCP so that they can be reconfigured for our corporate location. I have tried multiple different guides(seen below) but I can't get these phones to pull the SCCP firmware from the tftp server.
Basically I've tried building a single phone on CUCM and manually updating the TFTP server IP on the phone. It will request the config for SCCP, but promptly resets and starts all over. I was able to convert a few phones this way, but the rest don't work for some reason. All of them are running the same SIP firmware version.
The other thing I tried was by using tftpd32 on my desktop as a tftp server. I couldn't find the P00308010200 .loads, .bin, .sb2, and .sbn files so I tried using P0030800500 file but the phones don't seem to ever want to pull anything. I have 4 of those in my directory with the os79xx.txt file referencing p0030800500.
I am using only cisco 7940 phones and a cisco 3570 switch. If anyone could help out that would be amazing. Been working on this for two days with very little success. Thanks
