SIP Questions and how does SCCP fit into the mix..are these options possible?

Hi Everyone,

I'm going to volunteer to help out a volunteer organization that helps family's and would like to install SIP trunks to the site.

My questions are:

• Can I run Cisco Unity Express Voicemail services with SIP Phones?  Is Unity independent of the phone load?
• Can SCCP phones use a SIP trunk?
• Do SIP phones offer the rich feature environment like SCCP Phones such as call waiting indicator, conference calls, consultative transfer, etc...

Phone protocol and FW have nothing to do with CUE

Yes, SCCP phones can use SIP trunks

Assuming Cisco endpoints, yes, for 3rd party sip endpoints, you would need to POC to find out what you will get.
