sites limitation on CUCM BE 6k

Hello,

I always read CUCM BE has sites limitation (50 sites). What exactly does this mean in practice? That I cannot configure more that 50 regions/locations/SRSTs?

Could I have more that 50 physical locations in case I don't use regions/locations/SRSTs? I don't see why not, but nevertheless...

Tnx for any first hand experience sharing.

Hi Goran,

This number represents the number of remote sites. This is the number which has been tested and hence appears in the documentation. if you go above the specified numbers the system will still work , but if you run into any performance issues then TAC or BU might ask you to comply with the documentation.

Hi Manish,

Thanks for your answer, but this is pretty much what I get from the documentation, ambiguous definition of "site". What is definition of other site? WAN connection inbetween? Different IP subnet range? I can have my network setup in the way that from above I have lots of sites (lots of subnets), but all are situated in the same building, or I could have opposite situation where I would have one subnet over more phisically separated sites.

I have no idea how this would be limited with CUCM BE (except, perhaps, regions and locations, which I don't need), tracked down by TAC, or would in any sense make a difference in voice quality.

Looks like some marketing trap to me...

anyway, thanks again
