Slow internet with Cisco 7941?

I am on a desktop computer that has internet through a Cisco 7941. It seems to slow it down. Would an updated IP phone make the internet faster or am I better off connecting directly to the internet jack? Or could it be some other problem?

Cisco 7941 has 10/100 ports so if your Internet is faster than 100meg then the phone could be the limit.  Later models mostly have Gigabit ports.

What happens if you bypass the phone? Is the "internet" speed faster?
