Hello Everyone,
We are using CUCM 10.5 and planing to migrate to Smart Licensing. Would there be any operational impact while performing the migration? I was told we may need to regenerate and install the certificates.
Thanks,
MK

No you don't need to restart phones, no version has ever required to reset phones for licensing.
Licensing takes the info based on what is configured in the DB, doesn't even care if the phone is registered or not.

Smart licensing is only for 12.x+, are you also planning to upgrade CUCM?

Yes, would there be any regeneration/installation of certificates?

No, where did you read that?

I read nowhere, was told by a friend who has done it before.
I guess the Cisco License Manager need to be restarted.
Do the phones need to be restarted?
We are using PLM and not ELM, would that make any difference?
Thanks,
MK
