As Cisco think its funny to ship out routers with old firmware and then charge you if you want to put the current release on it, whats the cheapest smartnet I can get away with for access to downloads?

I thought that if you bought the router new that it was covered for downloads for the first year. When did that change?

na, nobody at cisco support will speak to me without smartnet.

Not sure how the smartnet is written out, but if its a new Router covered under warranty, you can call into TAC and have them publish the image for you.

Takes a bit longer, but you should be able to get the upgrade you need.
