SPA 122 for local calls using IP as phone number?

Hi

I have an internal ip phone network in my office that utilizes the IP address of the devices to call to/from them. I'm wondering if I can program the SPA 122 to work in the same way?

Is there a way to configure it to where dialing it's IP address from one of the IP phones on the same local network will cause it to treat it as an incoming call?

Kind of. I don't have any kind of a server in place. I just have the IP addresses of the phones loaded into the phonebooks and they call between each other that way. Wondering if its possible to set up the ATA to work the same way?

IP address, no.
Calling each other's extension number, yes.

Is it possible to assign an extension number without using a pbx or sip server?

You need a SIP server.
