I have several Cisco SPA501g phones configured to work on the network. There is a "PC" port on the back next to the "SW" port that is obviously intended to allow daisy-chain connection of the PC to the phone. It works on one phone but not the rest. What is the configuration trigger that turns this port on and off? I have not been successful in penetrating Cisco's telephone filter of menus to reach a knowledgeable person nor in finding this information online. Please help.

Hi Elbert,
Check out the following link: http://uc500.com/en/how-disable-pc-port-and-settings-button-ip-phone-call-manager-express
The above is for disabling, however you could use a 0 instead of the 1 on the ephone-template to enable the port.

Also, are you getting a link light or IP address when you plug into the PC port on the phone? If you are it could also be an issue with your VLAN configuration on your switch. Typically you will have your voice vlan configured as: switchport voice vlan X and your untagged PC port vlan will be configured as switchport access vlan X, or if you're using dot1q trunks and your native vlan configuration would define the PC port vlan (switch trunk native vlan X)

Chris
