Hi,
SPA phones are for small and mid markets and are not compatible with CUCM. They are not designed to work with CUCM, however you can use them with limited functionality on CUCM by adding them as a third party device just like you would configure any third party phone.

A) As it has already been mentioned, use them as SIP 3rd party devices with CUCM
B) Buy IP Phones that are compatible with CUCM.
No idea if you can simply return them, you'd have to reach out to your SE to find that out.
The data sheets have this kind of information, this should have been checked before getting the phones
• Supports both SIP with SPA9000 or leading third party call control platforms and SPCP Protocols with Cisco Unified Communication 500 Series

If someone told you these were natively supported with CUCM, they were wrong.

thanks Aseem,
i got an information from a documentation to download the firmware of the phone and provision it like every other cisco phone, since is a cisco phone.
How true is that

If that was true, you would see that model in the dropdown.
SPAs are SMB market devices, CUCM is an enterprise level product, they are not meant to be mixed natively, all SPA devices, are for all matter of purposes, considered SIP 3rd party devices in CUCM.

@Jaime,
how then should we use this cisco phone since my company purchased it to be used on our cucm,
should we return to cisco in replacement for a cucm supported cisco phone?
this could really go bad if the company get to know is not supported by our cucm
what are my options here guyss
