7961 not showing the lable . We can see the number only in Speed dial.

Can you share a screenshot for a working one and elaborate, i still fail to understand the exact issue.

Issue is , we can see the speed dial number on 7961 phone screen  but cannot see the lable  (user name)

Hi Waqas,

The reason is because the Speed Dial is under the "Unassociated Phone Buttons", it should be with other ones.

Secondly, once you click the "Modify Buttons" make sure you Remove 1 Line Button (2nd Line) and add the Speed Dial Button (essentially making it a 1Line and 5 Speed Dial Phone Button Template)

Finally, the reason why it is not showing up on the phone label as John Smith rather as 2831 is because as Chris has mentioned, you need to add Names under the Label and ASCII Labels and Save the configuration.

I deleted all and try one speed dial but not luck ?

Hi Waqas Sardar,

 if my understand is correct ... you are using CUCM 10.5 and you are having problems in the Speed Dials's lable of all your 7961 IP Phones, am I correct?

 You said before that "phone using old firmware and not upgrading from CUCM" ... could you please restart your TFTP Server (in CUCM Serviceability > Tools)? I would like to check if the changes that you made in CUCM are being propagated to the phone.

Under the device "related links" drop down menu (upper right corner) select speed dials and ensure both label and ASCII labels show up there.
