SRST HELP - what am i doing wrong..?

Hi All - i'm doing my first deployment of CUCMBE 6.1 with CUPS. Everything running well... except SRST.

The handsets say:

1) x.x.x.x - callmanager 1 ACTIVE

2) x.x.x.x - callmanager 2 SRST

That all looks good.

My router looks like:

The source address here is the interface on the ISR router itself. Is that correct?

When i power down the CUCM the phones go blank and not into 'fall back mode'.

This is a required command before things in srst will register.

I have the phone now saying "fall back" however, i don't have any buttons etc.. nothing saying 'Redial, New Call etc...'

Naturally, i also can't dial out!

The dialing out is probably due to the dial plan, but any ideas on the soft buttons?

Please paste the entire config...

also did you have the gateway registered to CCM before you added max-dn. it needed to register SRST with CCM and srst properly configured and dl the TFTP loads... Else you might get the blank stuff you have. Do you see dn numbers on the phones?

I would...

1.) reload router let it connect to CM and register phones normally.

2.) go into srst verify fnctinoality.

3.) have you configured H323, is this mgcp? then you need to configure h323 fallback!.

i would sujest you to make it not gateway srst but CME srst in this case you need to define phones as you are useinf CME then you add buttons, lines DNs for each phone

in this case when your phons fall-back to srst mode will use the configured info

Add that. Also you need to configure some H323 peers for dialing out.

that will enable h323 fallback. Make sure that your reference is set on the CM device pool.
