Hi all,
I have a number of 6921 phones which fail over to SRST mode,
However no system message is displayed on the phone to indicate that the phones are operating in SRST mode.
The Router is a 2911 with IOS version c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.152-1.T.bin. System messages are configured on the Router as below.
call-manager-fallback
max-conferences 8 gain -6
transfer-system full-consult
timeouts interdigit 8
ip source-address 10.26.254.254 port 2000
max-ephones 25
max-dn 25
system message primary SRST
system message secondary SRST
time-format 24
date-format dd-mm-yy
Any ideas would be appreciated.
thanks
Ian

Hi
It's 69xx phone limitation. The display of toast message used by 69xx phone would take almost entire screen to display the system message and then block all other existing display. It has been removed by design.

Hi Patel,
Thanks for the information!
Is there any document available on CCO about this limitation so I could refer to this and show to my customer?
Regarding 9971 SIP phone: unfortunately I also have this sysstem message issue on SRST 8.5 / CUCM8.5 allthough I have 'system message' command under 'call-manager-fallback' on SSRS VGW...
Thanks in advance!
Kind regards,
Tibor

Hi,
This is true for 99XX phone also. It will not display the message.
Talks are going with developers to get is rectified in future. But no ETA for it.
I cant find any document for it in cisco.com.
