Swapping an MGCP Gateway to H323

Hi mates,

I need to change one of my voice devices to H323 configuration.

Time ago, I had a Cisco guide to change a gateway running MGCP to H323, but now I don´t find this guide. The title of this document I remember was Configuring a H323 gateway from MGCP.

If you know, please can you tell me if this guide continues in CCO, and if so, where can I find it.

Many thanks to all in advance.

Really appreciated.

We need to remove the configuration for MGCP GW and then add configuration for H.323.

To remove the MGCP GW from CM, please delete this GW in "Device" - "Gateway". To disable
MGCP in GW, please use "mo mgcp".

To add a H.323 GW, please refer to the following link.

Here's the steps to add a H.323 GW in CM:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/4_2_3/ccmcfg/b06gtway.html#wp1311511

Here's the description for different parameters:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/4_2_3/ccmcfg/b06gtway.html#wp1312420

Here's the configuration guide to enable H.323 function and add dial-peer in GW:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_3/vvf_c/cisco_ios_h323_configuration_guide/old_archives_h323/4gwconf.html

Hey Payal.

Many tks for your quick answer.

I knew these links, I meant to a guide (was only a document, including best practices) where step by step the change to H323 were explained.

My CM version is 5.1.3.
