Hi all,
Good Morning,
I have a Technical Question.
This this the scenario: I scheduled my CUCM to have a backup 3 times a week, maintaining a maximum of 3 copies on the backup server, that means that the most oldest back up version of my CUCM will always have one week. So, every back up is made of 2GB each, and I have a assigned quote of 7 GB on mi DRS system, 7GB will make impossible a fourth copy CUCM back up (even if I tune that on the DRS parameters).
What I want to know is, when my quote of 7GB has only a 1GB space LEFT, and the call manager is making the next back up, Does CUCM first erase the older copy and then replace the new one? or Does it first insert the new one and delete the oldest copy?.
I'm asking this because I want to get more space in the backup system, but my storage admin want to know exactly how many GB I will need.
I am using a CUCM ver 8.6, scheduling a Backuo 3 time a week and only maintaining 3 copies on the storage.

Yes, exactly. You will need at least 8 GB.

Hi Juan,
CUCM first insert the new one and then replace the older.

Hi Lesalcie
you mean "then erase the older", right?
So in my model, I will require 8GB for a scheduled backup with 3 copies maximum, right?
Won't work 7 GB?
regards.
