Hello All,

I am looking for a help on DN based TOD.

TOD documents talks about

1- Conf of Time Period

2- Conf of Time Schedule

3- Conf of Partition

4- Conf of CSS

5- Then assign the PT in to transformation pattern. This will enable CUCM to check the time and forward the calls as per the configuration.

But I need to do the same configuration on DN.

I assume step 1 to 4 will remains same, I need your help to find where, I will assign the call forward number on DN in working hrs or none working hrs.

Please Help

Rgds,

Madhukar Tyagi

Time of day (TOD) routing determines if the partition is "available" in your CSS or not.  If you want to apply this to a directory number you can set it up so that the DN is either reachable or not reachable, or you can configure the DN to always be reachable and then if you want to use the Call Forward No Answer or some other option with TOD routing you would have to have the CSS for the call forward configured with the TOD partition so that calls forward differently during different times of the day.  What's the end goal with either making the DN not ring during certain times or just forwarding the call to a different location during certain times?

Hello,

Thank You very much for your advise,

My main goal is

1- 9 AM to 6 PM calls sud go to DN 8324.

2- 6 PM to 9 AM calls sud go to external number.

This configuration need to be achieve at DN.

Please guide.

What I would do is create DN 8324 in partitionA, then also create a CTI RP with DN 8324 in partitionB.  Set the CTI RP to Call Forward All (CFA) to the external number.  Then configure partitionA for TOD routing so that it's only available during the time schedule you setup which would be 9 AM to 6 PM.  In your calling search space (CSS) for your devices, make sure that partitionA is higher in the list than partitionB.

Hello Joe,

Thank You for replying, I wil test your advise in LAB and shall share the result with you.

Hello Joe,

Today i tried the configuration suggested by you.

Step i did

1- Create a DN 8324. Which is assocaited with a PT called OFF_HRS.

2- This PT is configured for TOD. "Office hrs --- 9.00 AM to 6.00 PM'

3- Create a another Partition namely - Non_Off_HRS. Which is associated with non office hours.

4- Now create a route point 8324. and Assign this route point to Non_Off_Hrs Partition.

5- CTI route point 8324 is FWD all to external number.

6-Both the DN and CTI route points are in same CSS.

Call are working fine during office hours. But none office hrs, it is giving the busy tone.

Please advise, Which traces i can take to troubleshot this issue, Also pls help, Step mentioned above is correct or not

Rgds,

Madhukar Tyagi

That looks correct as long as the CSS of the calling devices contain both the OFF_HRS and Non_Off_HRS partitions, with the OFF_HRS being higher up in the CSS ordered list.  The traces to look at would be the Detailed or Debug level Cisco CallManager traces.  When you place a test call after business hours you can search for dd="8324" to see which partition the call is matching (or not matching).

Here's how to collect traces:
