I've been asked to setup a hunt group for our support desk with a "top down" ring pattern (lvl 1 gets call first, if noan then to lvl 2, and so on). The trouble is that each phone has 2 lines, the users primary (personal) DN, and their secondary line which is the shared "Support Line" DN.
The goal is to get the phones to ring one after another but on the shared support extension, and not on their primary one.I think I need to virtual voice ports but I'm not really sure.
Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Duncan,
You would need to take the Shared Support Line/DN and make
it the Hunt Pilot DN. Then on the Level 1,2 & 3 phones you would put
a new DN on Line button 2.
In the Line Group that is associated with the new Shared Support Hunt
Pilot you can then set a Top Down algorithm that routes to Level 1, Level 2
and Level 3 DN Line Group members in the chosen order
Cheers!

Yeah, you won't be able to do a top down hunt if you keep the shared line configuration on each phone. When you have a shared line (same DN/same paritition on multiple phones), that line will ring on all the devices. So, as Rob said (+5 to Rob) - if you want to do a hunt then you would need to use the shared DN as the hunt pilot. From there, you could either do your top down hunt to each user's personal DN (Line 1) or a new DN on Line 2 used for calls from the hunt group. There is also a "rollover" type configuration that could be used but it's not nearly as flexible as what we're describing here.
