Transfering calls from main hunt group first agent

We’re using Cisco Webex phones in our office through a provider, and we’re having a frustrating issue with our Hunt Group setup. I’m hoping someone here might have advice or workarounds.

The first person in the group is 'A' (extension 104). All incoming calls to office always go to 'A' first.

If she’s unavailable (away or out of office), we want those calls to automatically go to someone else in the group or she can manually set it up to be transferred to another extension. Right now, this only happens if she manually activates Do Not Disturb (DND), and calls goes to next person in group and so on.

We need a way for 'A' to be able to transfer these Hunt Group calls to another colleague. We’ve asked our provider and they said "this can’t be done," but that seems surprising — surely there’s a workaround?

By the sound of your post it seems like you might not have a hunt group, at least there are no distribution mechanism that could explain what you're saying your seeing with calls not going to another member if the first member hasn't set DND. On the topic of call forwarding and hunt pilot calls, that does not work as any calls that comes that path will ignore the call forward set on any member in a Line Group.
