Transferring calls to other extensions

I have a directory number that is NOT associated with any phones.  I'd like to configure Call Manager to forward calls to that directory number to another directory number.  I've managed to do that.  However, if the phone that the calls have been forwarded to does not answer the call does NOT go to voice mail.  However, if I call the phone directly and is not answered the call is forwarded to voice mail.

So...how do I configure the directory number to be forwarded AND to be answered by voice mail if not answered by a person?

Many thanks!

Why don't you try a CTI RP with the DN or a translation pattern instead?

Thanks, Javalenc.  I created a translation pattern.  It did the trick.
