Hello
I have a question regarding the type of server required to install the "Cisco Fax Server 9.3 Enterprise Suite".
Like with Call manager and others products is it mandatory to have Cisco MCS server or Cisco "approved server" (like HP and IBM) or is it possible to install it on any server (for example Dell) which have the required hardware?.
Thanks for your help.

I have successfully installed this in VMWare with no issues. As long as you follow the supported operating systems that the Right fax supports then you will be ok. Also, it's better to look at the captaris website for this information than Cisco's.

Hi Matt
I am also trying to install Fax Server on VM and I will appreciate if you let me know can i test full functionalities of Fax server on VM as there wont be any Brooktrout Fax Board installed.
I a senario if I will have a MCS without Brooktrout Fax board will I be able to send/receive faxes? I think i can be possible if I use IP T.38 Fax Relay mathod as explained in Fax installation guide.
Will appreiciate your kind support.
Thank you
