I have my first UC Proxy setup project going, phone registers, and makes calls, but no way audio, no ring back. I see the call connections on the firewall, but they dont complete.
I assume the UC proxy is mainly for applications where the entire call path is behind the ASA, but in our situation, the callmanager is behind the firewall, but the gateways are outside the firewalls. Do I need to setup some sort of NAT in the outside interface for the proxy phones to be able to make calls?
One other thing, dont know if it matters or not in this situation, but the IP used for the MTA is not part of the subnet on the outside interface, but an added IP routed to the ASA. This works fine for adding IP's for additional servers or other mappings when a customer runs out, but wondering if it would cause the voice problem I am having. Since this is mainly for a test case, I am reluctant to readdress the customers ASA just for the testing purposes since it wont be used for this customer, they just happen to be a new install that we own the ASA for. Once I get a successful test configuration built, it will be removed along with the /30 I assigned for it.
