UC520 and ISP redundancy

Hi, we have a UC520 which we are using for SIP trunking. We use it exclusively for making and receiving phone calls. If our DSL goes down, we obviously can't process calls so we're looking to implement some sort of redundancy.

My understanding is the UC520 product is aimed at small businesses and wasn't designed for built-in redundancy for VoIP calls as it only has one WAN connection F0/0. Therefore is the recommendation to purchase an additional router to put in front of the device and perform failover this way?

Thanks for any suggestions on this.

Julian

May not even be the case, you should be able to configure vlan on WAN interface, connect to a trunk port of a switch, and connect two ISPs via DSL/ethernet.

Of course the best choice would an additional 1841 with two ADSL card for maximum control over all aspects.
