UC540 Phone status Deceased

I have a Cisco UC540 Small Business switch/router/voip  combo.  The conference phone 7937 was working until someone unpluged it for about 3 weeks.  When we repluged it the phone went status "Deceased".  I had to delete the profile and recreate it to have it to work.

So I search in the Administration guide to modify the option for deceased mode so that it wouldn't happen again, but there no mention of the Deceased status anywhere in the documentation or any options related to that.

If you have any idea, I would appreciate your input!

Hi Hantz,

Deceased problem comes when Phone lost it's IP recheability with DHCP / TFTP / CME.

Please do check this connectivity

Thank you for the answer.

The thing is, at the time I was able to ping the phone, it was powered by PoE but didn't load any of the config that was previously set up on this phone.

I'll try to reproduce the issue and look for the hint you gave me.
