UCCM VMWARE migration form 5.0 to 6.5

Hello Everyone,

Very Good Morning to all,

I  got the request from VMware team and they would like to upgrade the VMWARE fronm 5.0 version to 6.0 version. I would like to share the details of query which is asked herewith, so please guide on the same.

What are prerequisite required to upgrade the VMware? (Related to CUCM)

How should i manage OS and application of CUCM?

What are the precaution I need to take to avoid any disaster?

Is there any impact with new version of VMWARE  which can hamper to current version of CUCM and Cisco Unity (10.5.1.10000-7)?

As far as the pre-requisite is concerned, u do this activity by taking maintenance window and shutdown the CUCM and Unity Connection applications. After u upgrade ESXi to 6.5 , u need to have permanent licenses for ESXi .You would get an evaluation p...

There is nothing which needs to done on OS or application of CUCM.

Hi Virendra,

there won't be any impact on CUCM and Unity Connection.

Do check this "6.5 requires minimum OVA file= cucm_10.5_vmv8_v2.0.ova"

You can check the compare the ReadMe file of deployed ova with above one from Cisco site .
