Hi All,
We are planning to upgrade CUCM from (10.5.2.12901-1 to 11.x). But memory configured is 6 GB which is not sufficient for 7500 users. Can we increase the RAM to 8GB by shutting down the VM's. Is it recommended to upgrade RAM manually?
Regards
Sankar.

Hi Sankar,
It is supported, this information is also provided in the OVA read me files like below
http://www.cisco.com/web/software/283088407/51125/cucm_8.6_vmv7_v1.5.ova.README.txt
Upgrades from previous releases:
1) Stop the VM
2) Edit the VM
3) Modify the RAM, CPU, reservations, and OS based on the changes listed above.
4) Save the changes
5) Power back on the VM

I'm guessing you have not reviewed the upgrade guide??? which covers all of what you're asking
Change Virtual Machine Configuration Specifications
Before an upgrade, you NEED to review:
A) Release Notes
B) Upgrade Guide
To get all of the necessary information, and requirement.
