UCM 4.3.2. Trying to add a new MTP (Media Termination Point). Cannot save the entry because a required field, "Host Server," has no entries from which to choose. Has anyone run into this before?

ok, do you already have an MTP configured??? the one from IPVMS??? if so then you cannot choose anything because you already used the one from IPVMS, each IPVMS service running creates one.
if i have 1 server, i already have 1 MTP then i cannot add another SW MTP using the IPVMS because the only one i have is already there
the only way to get something in there is to delete the auto-created IPVMS MTP... which there is no reason to do, as you can use it
bottomline, use the MTP that is created when you started IPVMS, if you need more MTPs use HW

if you're adding a MTP handled by CUCM and already all of the CUCM servers have one then it's expected to not have one

Hi Java, thanks for your reply. Do you mean it's not expected to have any more MTP's or it's not expected to have any servers listed in the "Host Server" drop-down?
We're attempting to set up new SIP trunking to allow inbound SIP calls to SCCP stations. Adding a new MTP is just one of the steps in the process.
I should note that this is a newly-configured CallManager and there are no subscribers yet configured.
The "IP Voice Media Streaming App" is activated.
The help file says this about the "Host Server" field: "Choose the server on which you want MTP to run." Why would there be no servers listed at all?

That explains it then. I didn't realize it was a 1:1 relationship. Thanks Java!
