Hi All,
We have two strange issues in our environment.
Attendant Console client does not show real-time alerting name from IP phone:
Attendant console business edition 9.x is deployed with CUCM 9.1.2. Operators will use attendant console client for receiving and making calls. When incoming call arrives to attendant console client, the AC client seems to fetch the calling name from corporate directory (end users) which is scheduled to be synced everyday between CUACBE and CUCM. And if an IP phone does not have an end user associated to it the AC client will not show calling name. However, ideally the AC client should have the option to show the IP phone's display/alerting name during incoming call.
What happens is when a guest check-in the hotel his/her name is populated on IP phones in (alerting/display/label) sections of the line. But when guest call operator the AC client does not show his populated name instead it show the name written in first/last name in CUCM end user. Since the hotel has standard policy to greet their guests with the last name, the CUABCE is not fulfilling their requirement, hence they will not use attendant console product if there is no permanent solution / workaround found for this issue.
DND is not working on third party SIP phones:
The environment has three IP phones each in every guestrooms. Desk side is Cisco 7962G, bedside is Cetis/Telematrix 6902 and toilet is Cetis/Telematrix 3300IP. Cetis phone are registered with CUCM as third party basic/advance devices. When we enable Do Not Disturb on Cisco phone it doesn't get applied to Cetis phones. Also there isn't seem to be any option in CUCM to manually apply DND on third party phone. Since DND is basic hospitality feature, we need to find workaround to this problem.
CUCM: 9.1.2.15900-7
CUACBE: 9.1.1.20
Cisco 7962G
9602IPMWD5
3300TRM-IP
Appreciate quick support.

Not possible as DND feature set is not available in 3rd party SIP devices.

This feature is available in most other phone types though,
RDP, cisco phones, jabber
