Hi

Try erasing ITL/CTL files

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/8821/english/adminguide/w88x_b_wireless-8821-8821ex-admin-guide/w88x_b_wireless-8821-8821ex-admin-guide_chapter_011.html

Did you figure it out? Having the same issue. I am at the same version. I followed the link and tried the several ways listed but still no luck.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi John,

It seems you will require a restart of the CCM service or if you could reboot the server itself and that should take care of the issue.

Please rate and mark correct if helpful.

Hitesh

Thanks Hitesh. That was going to be my next step. I'll post back if it fixes it or not.

Hi John,

Surely give it a try as these are new phones and require a new device pack for them to be supported in CUCM and as per the device package instructions, the nodes on which these are trying to get registered need to be rebooted once for the DB changes to take effect.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Hitesh

it worked for me after restart the CUCM cluster,

Hi Mohamed

thanks for your reply. still no good after erasing those files, anything i can look at.

thanks

I know this thread is a little old, but.................I'm having the same issue and tried all of the above solutions, with no positive results. My 8821's will negotiate with the DHCP server and get all required info, including, IP, mask, gateway, TFTP server(s). It will even show my Call Manager (CUCM11) in the menus of the phone. It will upgrade and downgrade it's firmware from the CUCM, but will not get a registration/extension number, either manually or auto. I have the correct device pack on my system. I've rebooted the CUCM server, several times. I've deleted the ITL/CTL in the phone(s) and reset the phones back to factory settings mutiple times. I do have 7925's (wireless phones) currently working on my network, so the WLAN is functional.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start packet capture at CUCM CLI:

utils network capture eth0 file cap_file host ip x.x.x.x count 100000

You should know the IP Phones address (x.x.x.x). After some time stop the capture (^C).

Then collect packet capture logs through RTMT and post the file here.

here is the capture file you requested.

Let me know if I can do anything else....

I let it run 5+ minutes

This is not a valid capture. Please, follow this to collect the file:

Let's try this one.

It won't let me send the *.cap.

Pls change the txt extension back to cap.

let me know if this works for you.

Here's a TAR file

Did you receive the TAR file I sent? Were you able to view it properly?
