Hi,
We plan to integrate Unified Presence in our Telephony system.
There is two (2) sites that have CUCM cluster.
We have 2000 users in each site.
The CUCM for these sites are connected using InterclusterTrunk.
How many Presence server do I need to implement? 1 or 2 ? In each Site?
I've already read the presence documentation, but I cannot see the size.
Best regards,
Antra

One portion of the data you are looking for:
Cisco Unified Communications Mode | ||
Deployment Model | Platform Model | Number of Users Supported |
Single Node | MCS7816 | 500 |
Single Node | MCS7825 | 1000 |
Single Node | MCS7835 | 2500 |
Single Node | MCS7845 | 5000 |
Multi-Node Cluster (6 nodes) | MCS7816 | 3000 |
Multi-Node Cluster (6 nodes) | MCS7825 | 6000 |
Multi-Node Cluster (6 nodes) | MCS7835 | 15000 |
Multi-Node Cluster (6 nodes) | MCS7845 | 30000 |
In regards to multiple CUCM clusters. I was under the impression that a CUPS server could only integrate with one CUCM cluster. At least from a provisioning standpoint but I could be mistaken.
HTH.

William is correct; each CUPS server cluster can only integrate with one CUCM cluster. You can perform inter-CUPS cluster federation to get presence and instant messaging functional between them.
