Could someone please clarify if the username and password this tool requires is the same as the username and password used to access the unity appliance from unix? What i mean is, if I was trying to log into the cli from the virtual host the appliance runs on.
Thanks

Hi,
you need to login in RTMT through Application username and password .It is the same when u login through GUI. in Unity Connection Administration.
what u are saying is OS Username and password which is through CLI [putty] or from vsphere client used for DRS also?

Hi Aman,
I've tried that and now the unity connection web interface is locked out even though I can still log into appliance cli. This product is just an exercise in frustration.

you can try the command utils reset_application_ui_administrator _password from CLI to enter the new password.

Thank you! I've tried that and it reports "update failed trivial credential" There is no other user account that I am aware of. How could attempting to log onto the appliance with a cisco tool result in this utter mess???? My appliance even has its lockout policy disabled..... Utterly insane. (I'm not aiming this at you aman of course.) Greatly appreciate your help.

Wait for some time (may be 1 hour) and then try again.

I don't know Aman..... As far as I know the only password is the one I am using to access the web interface and the cli. This one works for both but not for the RTMT.....

No, it's require application user credentials which is used into login through GUI.
