User receives a call from 'voicemail" periodically, user is not part of any notification devices or alternate extensions, does not have voicemail forwarded to her number, cannot trace anything that would explain this. Here is the output of CCM Trace:

BTW that's a call from Alex Newman to VM, not the other way around

Yes, the user was returning the call to the voicemail port, that called her.

ok, it's just that you wrote VM was calling him and i thought you posted the trace on that.
but the trace is the other way around.
are you sure there is no one trying to reach the user via unity? dialing his extension? or that he is an option in a caller input that transfers the call to him?
because the only way to really find out if he's not around to pick the call and see exactly why unity is transferring the call, is have a look at unity traces
