Unity Connection 9.1

I've successfully installed a Unity Connection 9.0 cluster on UCS C220-MS3 platforms and subsequently upgraded it to 9.1.

I created a port group and I'm trying to add 48 ports to that port group. When I do this I get the following message:

"Port limit reached to its maximum allowed configuration for its hardware "

Instead of creating 48 ports, only 8 are created.

IN creating the virtual machine for Unity Connection, I deployed OVA template CUC_9.1_vmv8_v1.5.ova and in doing so selected the 1000 user option. From what I can see in the OVA spec, this should support 48 ports in an Active/Active configuration.

Any ideas as to what is going on here?

But my CUC Version is not on the affected versions: 9.1.1.20000-32, i asked the author of the post to see this.

Hi Leonardo,

Version 9.1.1.20000-5 and 9.1.1.20000-32 is same .

9.1.1.20000-5 is the Platform version and 9.1.1.20000-32 is Unity specific .

You can see from the following commands ...

admin:show version active
Active Master Version: 9.1.1.20000-5

admin:show cuc version

Active version: 9.1.1.20000-32

I had the same issue but solved it with a TAC and the engineer fixed via SQL commands. Just log a TAC and the can help you out.

Hi Brian,

Also I had a same problem during the installation of localization file. Did you get any TAC solution ?

Baris.

Hi,

This patch works !

Another co-worker found another solution :

Shutdown the VM

Upgrade hardware (RAM and vCPU)

Restart and check/renew ports

And if it's good, shutdown the VM, downgrade hardware, restart VM.

Regards,

Sebastien

Hi Sebastien,

This method of upgrading vCPU is not supported and should not be used .

Applying the COP file or upgrading to a latest ES are only supported solutions

Hi,

I have experimented this in 10.0.

Is there any solution?

Note: We have upgraded from 9.1 and we have tried to add more ports.
