unity domain controller down after upgrade to 4.0(5)

After upgrading a unity server with local domain controller I get the following error when trying to add a subscriber:

"The Domain controller is down or cannot be contacted. Add is temporarilly not allowed."

Go to the Tools Depot --> Diagnostic Tools --> DCGC Reconnect settings. Make sure to have the correct DC and GC names and force the reconnection on both.

The GC synchronized OK but the DC failed. Somebody else upgraded the server to UNITY 4.0(5), how do I confirm the DC name?

Both the DC and GC names are OK according to the utility, I forced the reconnection but the server keeps failing to connect to the DC
